Close Encounters of the Third Kind

Experience Steven Spielberg's legendary 1977 science-fiction masterpiece through a 35mm film scan, offering a nostalgic glimpse into the film's original analogue presentation.

Unlike modern digital restorations, this version showcases the distinctive characteristics of traditional 35mm film, including natural film grain, vintage colour reproduction, organic contrast and the potential imperfections of a theatrical print.

The story follows Roy Neary, an ordinary man whose life changes after a mysterious encounter with an unidentified flying object. Driven by an obsession he cannot explain, Roy embarks on a journey towards one of cinema's most unforgettable encounters with extraterrestrial life.

This 35mm presentation offers a unique viewing experience for film enthusiasts and collectors, celebrating the authentic cinematic texture of the photochemical era and the visual atmosphere that helped make Close Encounters of the Third Kind a science-fiction classic.
